It can configure PCI Express as Gen2x2 or Gen3x1, compliant with USB Attach SCSI Protocol revision 1.0, supporting the functions of debugport.
ASM1142 integrates ASMedia self-designed PCI Express/USB 3.1 PHY, and it also integrates two internal regulators to supply normal core power and suspend core power, supporting the driver on Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1 and various Linux Kernels. ASM3142 integrates ASMedia self-designed PCI Express/SuperSpeed USB/USB2.0 PHY, supporting the proprietary driver for Windows 7 and in box driver for Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and various Linux kernels. For CMI873x or CMI876x series, C-Media no longer support Win10 driver. For CMI878x, CM88xx, or USB Audio series, please contact your product vendor to get customized Win10 driver. However, if your product didn't apply customized driver when you purchased, you can then just use Win10 in box standard driver. The expansion card is an ASMedia 1061and I have installed the latest Win10 driver for it. Having done so, I see that in Win10 Device Manager an 'Asmedia 106x SATA Controller' is now listed under 'Storage Controllers', whereas the driver installation instructions from ASMedia insist that it should appear under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers'. This package contains the driver for ASMedia USB3 Host Controller and is supported on XPS laptops, Dell S&P, Latitude, Precision and Tablet systems that run Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 operating systems. This package improves the poor network bandwidth issue with some network switches when the Flow Control function is enabled.
